This portion of the self-evaluation is designed to test your knowledge of several Profile 1 (Minimal Markup) features.
Please review the image on the right canvas and mark the region of interest (ROI), the orientation and the pattern classification(s).
To indicate ROI:
Click down at any point around the region of interest's border, and drag around that area to lasso the region of interest.
Clicking in the canvas again while this tool is selected, or clicking on the Delete button and then the ROI, will clear the previous outline.
To indicate orientation:
- Selecting Unknown in the dropdown menu by the orientation tool indicates that the orientation cannot be determined.
- Upright indicates that the impression is upright (“tip up”) within about ±15°. Select the three arrow icon, then click in the image and drag the mouse upwards to indicate an upright orientation.
- Specific orientation indicates that the orientation can be determined and the impression is not upright. If “Specify” is chosen, click the 3 arrow icon. Click in the image and drag to mark the deviation from upright.
To indicate pattern classification:
In the Pattern Classification dropdown box, click the checkbox next to each pattern type that might describe the impression shown. The image
may be clear enough that you can narrow it down to one pattern type, or you might only have enough information to eliminate some options.
You may select between one and seven pattern types for each print.
