This portion of the self-evaluation is designed to test your knowledge of several Profile 3 (Detailed Markup) features . distinctive features, dots and incipients.
To mark distinctive features:
Scars, dysplasia/dissociated ridges, warts, blisters, or other abnormalities that interfere with normal ridge flow should be marked as distinctive features. Select the pencil tool, then click and drag around the feature to create an outline. Use the Delete tool to remove a marking.
To mark dots and/or incipients:
Select Dot or Incipient to change your cursor to that tool. For a dot (a single isolated ridge unit), click and release on the center of the feature. The dot markup is a red circle. For an incipient ridge (a thin ridge without pores), click down at one end of the ridge, then drag to the other end and release. The incipient markup is a red line. To remove a mark, click on the Delete tool, then on that spot on the canvas.
